Ok guys!!! I have a little more time than i usually do. kick ass.
soooooooooooooooooooo where do begin, where to begin....i did this hike today called Tangariro Crossing which is about 13 mileslong and was the most intense thing i have ever done. my friend katie came with me so that was good. we hiked up a volcano, up up up, to where it was so windy i thought i was going to b e blown over the edge into the craters. the craters/geysers were crystal blue and spectacular---i got some GREAT pictures! i'll post them on fbook later. some parts of the hike i literally thought i was going to die. so steep,so hot, so crazy. so thats that. i did it and i'm proud of myself and it kicked fuggin ass----google it!!
What else---forgot to say that westayed at a Maori house the other night-the native people here. they did some dances for us, and then we learned them and dressed up. the girls danced for the guys vice versa and we all slept int he same room.l it was super cool, very memorable. they let me stay for free too cuz my robbery sitch. so that was a BONUSSSSSSSSSS! we had to name a chief, which had to be oldest male, which happened to be Matthew from the UK. he is 39 and bald so we named him Chief Shiney Head. he was a sport. that night we all got some beers and went down to the beach. good fun.
so the people on the bus are great---i've made good friends with Dawn from Scottland, Karen from Canada, and Katie from the UK---all real good people. theres a lot more---but two that stick out with now are these two identical girls from Ireland. fucking hilarious. right before we left for the hike i walked past one and she was just whispering under her breath saying "we are gonna bloody die up there". they brought so much food too----and HARD BOILED EGGS and so much chocolate for the hike. they are just funny. bad mouths too which is always fun. made friends with a gu7y from holland, lawrence, he was in the army--very nice--i kept him around a bit on the hike for my protection...........but he doesn't know that.
ummmmmmmm what else....still burnt. blistered. gross.
anyways, i am dead tired. all in all i've already done some gnarly shit and i love ittt1 can't wait to do more. everyone does skydiving and bunjee jumping----MIGHT do it. still scared though.
we are making a huge spaheettitti dinner tonight---YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! can't stop eating nutella. lawrence keeps calling me "b anana nutella girl"
wonk wonk.gotta keep drinking water. so dehydrated and everyone has beers in front of me.
Ok, hope all is well1! please shoot me an e-mail or fbook message!!

ReplyDeleteGO skydiving! It isn't too scary and totally worth it. Besides, you know your family will love to watch the video when you get back (my mom cried and almost passed out).
